Cheery Cherry Embroidery!!!

Did you know that February is National Cherry Month?

To celebrate, I'd love to share my "Cheery Cherry" embroidery patterns! 🍒
I've never done anything like this before so I hope it all works out as I've planned!

I've been working on a basic quilt to frame them in and I'm not quite done with it yet but I do have the embroidery ready to share with you🍒

Here are some pictures of each block I've completed so far:

Also, I bought a little fabric bundle of the fabric shown on etsy from Pomegranate Place!

The fabric line is from Figtree and Co and is from the Farmhouse line just in case you're interested!

I simply cannot wait to see what you all do with my little embroidery patterns and what types of fabrics you choose!

I've seen quite a few cute cherry fabrics out there too!

Here are the Hand Drawn Patterns:

Hopefully (fingers Crossed) you'll be able to click these and print them out!

Now, lets make some "Cheery Cheeries"

The Great Glamper Makeover!

I finally decided it was time to do my Glamper makeover!

These are my before pictures!

As you can see, she's been lovingly used for quite a while!

"She" has provided many nights of shelter and hasn't failed to keep my hubby and I warm and dry. She's also a cool place to sleep on hot nights!

She sleeps eight and is a 1993 Nomad.... Very sturdy and solid!

Here's my plan ...for now....

I'm going with some designer fabric from Figtree And Co. Called Strawberry fields!

I've started on the bedding using some patterns from this fabulous book called "With Fabric and Thread" by Joanna Figueroa!!!!

I adore every page and story from this book and the patterns are easy to follow!

I've added a couple pillows of my own to the fluff!!!!

Stay tuned as I makeover my Glamper!

Warning: this is a very addictive hobby and may cause you to want and crave your own Glamper!

The Great Glamper Makeover will start coming together April 1 when our fabulous getaway opens for the the season!

In the meantime, here at home, I'll be seeing and gathering and crafting items for the makeover!

Thanks for reading and following!

Love Cathy

Don't forget to clean up your snippins!

Green Tomatoes...Canning Time

Today, my mother, Laura and I canned some green tomatoes!

I love canning/preserving with her! She doesn't like to sew or quilt. She's a gardener! I swear she has 10 green thumbs! It seems like whatever she touches just grows crazy! Since she has garden and homemaking skills and I love doing all things homey and girlie, it's a good time in the kitchen when we get together!

1. First we washed and sterilized everything in boiling water.

2. The green tomatoes were washed and sliced.

3. Then we stuffed the jars to about an inch to the top.

4. Then she added 1 spoon of salt and filled them within an inch to the top with cold water.

5. After filled with the cold water the lids and rings were on! She would tighten the ring then back it off for a little wiggle room.

6. Then the jars were placed in a canner and cold water was filled to within one inch from the top. ( around the neck of the jars)

7. Now, they were brought up to a boil and she started timing them and let them boil for 15 minutes.

8. After 15 minutes of boiling, the jars were lifted out of the canner with a gripper and set aside on the counter on a clean towel.

That's it! They started pinging immediately! We both grinned at each other at that point because that's the best sound in the world when you're canning! The deal is sealed!!!! Ping!

Easy enough, right? They'll be delicious this winter! Mommy says " beats eating a snowball!"

Hope you enjoyed this little post! See how easy it is? And so gratifying!!!! It just feels good to be able do something special for your family!
